Your pics bring back many memories of my family's 17' Dorsett Lexington. The color was as your Belmont, with a 40 hp Johnson. In my teens, my parents, my brother, and I each pitched in $200 in 1964 to buy it from an older man who kept it at his cottage in the Thousand Islands (upstate NY). We used the boat on the Finger Lakes in central NY State. My folks retired in the mid-1970's to a cottage there and kept the boat on Seneca Lake. It was slightly under-powered, but we still could use it for cruising, skiing, and fishing. The boat went with the cottage when it was sold a decade later. Now that I'm in my 70's, I wish the Dorsett was still around! It was a solid, light weight boat that cut through waves easily, and got up on plane fast. Good luck with yours!
